With the Arsenal prodigy heading for the exit door following a contract wrangle, it looks like Jack Wilshere will be on the move this summer. Arsene Wenger may be stepping down, but it would be a shock to see Wilshere given an extended deal by whoever comes in next.
According to The Daily Mail, Wilshere is a target for newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers. With plenty of money in the bank and the ear of agent Jorge Mendes, the midlands outfit arrive with more than ample opportunity to make a big splash on the Premier League.
It would appear that the signing of an England international would go some way to helping them make this point. With Arsenal asking that Wilshere takes a pay cut, it would appear that an exit from the club he came through the Academy at could be a possibility – with a fresh start in Wolverhampton seemingly appealing.
Alongside other names such as Besiktas star Anderson Talisca, Wolves are being linked with a cadre of midfield names. With Wilshere being for free, he would make an interesting sign-up for a team looking to improve on their creative ability for the top flight.
Wilshere is an interesting prospect, and could be an interesting pick for a side looking to make a major move forward. With Wolves backed with the money from the Fosun International group, there’s ample investment waiting.
If Wilshere is interested in moving to the Midlands, it would appear Wolves would be delighted to have him.
