Recently, we reported that Tottenham Hotspur are very much on the lookout for a new striker. While their main number nine, Harry Kane, is in fine form, they need a back-up. The loss of form of Fernando Llorente has meant that he’ll leave in the summer, with the North London side looking for a young, vibrant replacement.
One player being linked, per the London Evening Standard, is that of Red Bull Salzburg striker Hwang Hee-Chan. Hwang was a major part of the Salzburg side who went all the way to the UEFA Europa League semi-finals, before being dumped out in the cruellest fashion by a late Marseille winner that came from a contentious corner.
A fantastic young forward, Hwang was a key player in their run to the final. His impressive performances already has English and German team queuing up to take a chance on him, with Spurs the latest to be linked.
A close friend to Heung-min Son, though, it’s likely that Hwang could be swayed by the chance to play with his countryman on a weekly basis. With 2 goals in Europe, he’s definitely worth watching.
