While the last thing that Tottenham Hotspur lack is goals, they are on the lookout for a solid option to replace Harry Kane during the season. One such option, according to TalkSPORT, is that of Argentina and Fiorentina striker Giovanne Simeone.
The Argentine is one of the most impressive forwards around at the moment; a hugely stocky, powerful forward who knows how to score goals. A hat-trick against Napoli recently made the world sit up and take notice of Atletico Madrid manager’ Diego Simeone’ son.
The 22-year-old has been one of the most important strikers in Serie A for two years, impressing first with Genoa and now with the Viola. If he is to leave Florence this summer, then he will not be shy of suitors; with Sevilla, Valencia and Villarreal are also linked.
Atletico are also tentatively named as suitors, though it would be quite a shock to see him move to play under his father. For Fiorentina, the challenge is to keep hold of a striker who has become a key part of their side since he signed in the summer of 2017.
If Spurs are to move for a forward, expect Simeone to feature prominently in the rumours.
