Having been linked with Alisson Becker for some time now, it would appear that Liverpool have employed an inside agent to try and move the deal further forward!
Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has been in the press recently, speaking to various members of the media ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. An increasingly important member of the Brazil side alongside Alisson himself, it was not long until Firmino was quizzed on the potential for the 25-year-old to move from Rome to Merseyside, and follow the path of Mohamed Salah.
Firmino, ever someone who enjoys making light of a situation, was reported to have said:
“Yes, he asked me about Liverpool and I hope he can come here, but I know he has other proposals,
“From time to time I will give him a pinch to come to Liverpool and help us, but it’s with his agents.
“It wouldn’t be bad if he came to Liverpool.”
With Alisson quickly becoming one of the most quoted keepers in Serie A, and being linked with Real Madrid among others, he would be a major capture for a Liverpool side who look likely to lose three of their four senior keepers.
