In the winter, Belgium and Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku caused a stir when he openly praised Juventus. The Old Lady of Turin was seen as a potential destination for him back then, before falling out of favor at United. Now, if rumors are to be believed, Lukaku could find himself placed even further down the pecking line – and it would have been one of his hypothetical teammates who would be replacing him.
Indeed, Juventus are apparently open to selling Argentine forward Paulo Dybala. The 25-year-old has played for the Old Lady 21 times in the Italian Serie A, setting up or scoring 7 goals so far. However, with Juventus not often playing in the same style as they once did, there is not quite so much space for Dybala any longer – and it could see him take the chance to try out the Premier League.
Long linked with the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea, it would be interesting to see if United would look to swoop ahead of their rivals. With homegrown striker Marcus Rashford now taking the place for United up-top, a move for Dybala could make sense. More of a floating forward than Lukaku, he would be more likely to play with, instead of in replacement of, the Englishman.
Either way, it sounds like a parting of the ways for both players from their respective clubs could be an option in the summer – could a swap deal even take place?
