Could Kylian Mbappe Join Arsenal?

Having been in the eye of Real Madrid for some time now, it looked likely that Monaco wonder kid Kylian Mbappe would be on his way to Spain. However, it was also claimed that another year in Monaco – and a house being bought – opens the chance for the youngster to stay where he is. Now, though, it sounds like Arsenal – who are being linked with major money signings left, right and center – could enter the fray for the Monaco starlet.

Apparently, PSG and Real Madrid have slapped in bids of over €100m, meaning that it’s going to become harder for Monaco to sell. In a World Cup year, though, would the young man be better staying where he is? He’s going to be moving to someone huge next summer anyway, even if he stays put, so what’s the rush?

Arsenal, though, wants to try and get things on the right track. With Champions League football off the table, they are apparently desperate to get the move on for a big deal about Mbappe. With links to Lyon forward Alex Lacazette, too, there’s clearly a clamor for yet another forward in the Arsenal ranks. Whether or not that is to replace Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez has not yet been discovered, but it’s clear that Arsenal wants someone big to help him lead the line.

Having seemingly agreed with his family to remain in Monaco, it would take a lot of work and some big bids to get the deal done. Given his standing with the French national side and many of the players in France, though, Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger might just prove beyond all doubt why he is such a revered coach.

If he could lure Mbappe to Arsenal, would fans still feel comfortable wanting him gone?

Do you think that this would be a good move for the young France star?

Whether he makes a move to London or Madrid this year, it looks likely that someone will test Monaco enough to make a sale. It’s going to be very interesting to see what transpires!
