We mentioned this weekend that it looks like Spurs superstar Dele Alli is set to refresh his terms with the club. Well, it looks like England superstar and goal-glut hero Harry Kane might be going the other way. His incredible form for Tottenham in September (and the last two years, truth be told) has seen him catapulted to the very peak of the world’s striking talents.
A lethal finisher who makes his lack of pace completely irrelevant, Kane has become a key player for Spurs and England. The Daily Express then posted quotes that would not do much to help Spurs fans sleep at night; Kane being pretty open to the rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
Speaking before he captained England at Wembley against Slovenia – scoring in the process – Kane was quite open about what his future could eventually be.
“I would never say no. “I would never say yes.” he began.
“I think in football, you never know and you never rule out anything. It is not something that I definitely want to do but it could happen. You just never know.
“Like you said, at the moment, I am very happy where I am here – that is all that matters. We will see what happens, but for now that is all I am focusing on.”
With 6 goals in 7 games in the league so far, he netted 13 in September alone across various competitions to put himself at the very forefront of the world’s footballing discussion.
