For some time now, Wilfried Zaha has been well and truly rehabilitated. The Manchester United move evidently came too soon for the Ivorian. At 25 and now coming off the back of two wonderful seasons at Crystal Palace, though, it looks like Zaha could be on the move once again. Current club Crystal Palace will naturally do all they can to keep the player who done more than most to keep them in the Premier League in 2017-18.
With 9 goals in 29 games, Zaha was instrumental in their ability to stay up. Completing on average of 4 dribbles per game, too, Zaha helped to keep the pressure off the Palace backline when he was able to play.
With a new deal signed just a year ago, Palace are moving to try and offer an even larger deal – the largest in club history – to keep Zaha at the club. However, media reports claim that clubs like Tottenham Hotspur are the most likely ones to swoop for one of the most impressive talents in the Premier League at present.
Spurs coach Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear in the past that his side needs an electric wide player to pick up the pace and get them moving in the right direction once again. It looks like they see Zaha as the ideal player: he could offer the spark and invention that has been missing so far from the Spurs team, if Palace are willing to sell.
