As the most precocious talent to come out of America arguably ever, Christian Pulisic is a wanted talent. The 19-year-old American has been in the BVB side for a couple of seasons now, but it sounds like he could make his way to the exit door soon. A talented attacker, rumours abound that Liverpool and Manchester United – both owned by Americans – will do battle in a bid to sign the youngster.
And, in a sign that will concern BVB, Pulisic was very open about the possibility of moving on in the future. In an interview with ESPN, Pulisic clear that, one day, he’d like to turn out in the Premier League, saying: “Of course, the Premier League is an unbelievable league,
“You never know in football what can happen, so right now, I’m focused with Dortmund, and yeah, that’s that.
“[The transfer window] was definitely kind of a whirlwind. Every day, you hear something different in the media or whatever, something like that, but now that it’s over, our team has been having kind of a rough go of things lately.
“So many different coaches in the last few months, but yeah, right now, we’ve just got to turn that around and focus on ourselves.”
Having seen an exodus of stars in their peak years recently, it will be concerning to Dortmund that such a player would be ready to move on at just 19. A lifelong United fan, though, a move may be presumed.
It was reported in the past that Liverpool had the edge of growing Pulisic ahead of the Red Devils, due to the connection that Jürgen Klopp has with the team. However, it’s now sounding more and more likely that Pulisic will make the move to Manchester instead of to Liverpool.
